Looking inside.

Frieso Boning and Sheila Spence worked together to curate the exhibition of work by Jan Boning.

After his death in 2006, his son Frieso Boning re-discovered this accomplished and long unseen body of work under a bed. Jan Boning's exhibition is a celebration of his artistry and his contribution to Winnipeg's and Canada's artistic legacy. He ruled and so does this show!

We are looking for an instructor for a Saturday afternoon class. The class is for parent and child together called "Doing Art Together". It would cover a variety of media- drawing, painting , sculpture (we have 2 kilns) etc. The class is ten weeks. If we get enough students signed up (6 or more) the class will start Sept 19. We are also always on the lookout for artist/instructors in other mediums for our day or evening classes or artists wanting to do Sunday workshops.
The criteria for an instructor is someone in the final years at the art school or with a BFA or equivalent experience in art that is interested in being an instructor. A very strong interest in teaching art is the most important element.
If you are interested send a resume - call/email Art Director Tom Andrich at 667-1345- hogshair@yahoo.ca or Exec Director Daryl Dumanski at the The Forum Art Centre Mondays or Thursdays 9-4 235-1069 forumart@shaw.ca.

Hot Off the Presses: Fall Class Brochures are Here!

Happy Printing!
Welcome to the Martha Street Studio BLOOGGG!

A little bit about us: The Martha Street Studio a.k.a. Manitoba Printmakers Association is an incorporated member-based non-profit organization and was initially dedicated to artistic and technical excellence in the fine art of printmaking--intaglio, relief, lithography, silkscreen and monoprints. The studio has now expanded to include digital prints and printing.
